Christopher A. Martin, M.D., joined the practice in 2005. He is a board-certified subspecialist in gastroenterology and liver diseases.
Dr. Martin received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and post-baccalaureate training at Harvard. He then obtained his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and remained in Manhattan for his postgraduate training. He completed his medical residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital's Cornell Campus, which included extensive training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. After residency, Dr. Martin received his fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Columbia-Presbyterian's St. Luke's-Roosevelt affiliate, including broad experience in hepatology at Manhattan's Mount Sinai Hospital.
With a strong interest in general gastroenterology and endoscopy, including colon cancer prevention, esophageal disorders, and hepatobiliary diseases, Dr. Martin has published articles in professional journals and has presented at local and national gastroenterology conferences. Dr. Martin is a member of the Phelps Memorial Hospital Medical Staff Affairs Committee.
Dr. Martin is also fluent in Spanish and conversational in French and Italian.
